Introductory Service at Carbost Free Church

So, I start my new post as ministry assistant for Portree & Bracadale Free Church this week.

The Service of Introduction is being held at Carbost Free Church at 7.30 on Thursday 30th October.

If you are local, and you are free to make it along, you are more than welcome.

The service is really intended to kick off the new ministry arrangement at Bracadale Free Church. It is quite exciting as it is not the 'standard model' of ministry, instead it is a bi-vocational approach to ministry. I'll be  teaching in the High School 2 and a half days a week, while working 3 days a week for the church.

The Service of Introduction is a bit like a commisioning service for this new ministry development.

In regards to the actual post,  as of this Sunday, I'll be leading the services and preaching at Carbost Free Church every Sunday morning. I'll also be leading and developing some of the mid-week meetings and I'll be developing work within the local community including the local primary schools.

So, if you are local and free (not in a denominational sense!), you are welcome to attend the Introductory Service, if you are in the area and you don't have a regular church, feel free to come along to one of the sevices on a Sunday morning, and if you are a Christian who has a heart for God's work in the Highlands, please keep me and the church in yor prayers.
